Dino is finished as of today. My son and I took it up to church for the Trunk and Treat on Saturday.

(3) cables will be strung from the basketball hoop and the light on the end of the roof. A USB speaker will be placed in the body to screech and the pterodactyl will slid down the cables.

That is my son holding the bird.

Now to paint.

Great progress Bob!!!  I'm really liking this model! How you going to finish her off?  Tissue and paint?

My son had a great idea of crushing printer paper then burnishing it over a sharp edge. to maybe give it a scale texture.

Making great progress Bob!  I hear you regarding Doctors.  This year has been the most I've been to the doc in my whole life combined!  Real drag.  But thankful for them and their help.  Hang in there buddy!

Hey...good to "hear" from you, Bob...I thought maybe you were on a round-the-world solo sailing adventure!  Wink Grin

Love your Ptero project.  I recall many years ago...like when I was fourteen or fifteen years old...a girl I was interested in...her father was constructing a ptero...think it was from a plan in Flying Models Magazine.  That would have been some time ago...before my own "round-the-world solo sailing adventure."  Wink Grin Smiley

I know your Ptero is purpose-built, but just in case you're ever interested in a genuine creature of that name...an aircraft design did exist.  The Westland design was a proposed 2-seat fighter aircraft!

Hang in there, Bob...keep building...be well.

Neal

I am plugging along, if only I could limit the doctor appointments. They keep getting in the way of my speed and time this has to be ready for Halloween.

(6) more photos of progress.

Not sure this is correct category for this, but it is the closest.

It’s been some time since I have visited the site. Health problems have been getting in the way.
I went to church and was asked if I had any ideas re: a Pterodactyl. So I found an RC plan that I am adapting for the DINO to hold a speaker and be hung from a lanyard to simulate flight.
After cutting the plan into more manageable sizes I laid them on my bed til use and the cat (Cooper) found a new hide out.
