I don't think that he did a 109, probably because there are so many plans for them, but he did do a Focke Wulf 190-D9 https://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=2971

I haven't found one on HPA or Flying Aces Club plans.  I don't think he did one unless someone else know better!

Nice article Tom, that was when air racing was special. (for me at least)

attached red tissue to printer paper with glue stick then tried to make  cowling for the Spartan. After many, many tries I was successful. The cat "Cooper" was on my desk when I came in from doping the fuselage and wings.

Perfect timing, voted for Golden Age and just laid down the trailing edge for the Spirit of St. Louis wings. I'll pick them up and set it aside waiting for the starting gun.

The Golden Age of Aviation is the aircraft of the 1920's - 1930's.  Basically all the aircraft between WWI an WWII civilian and military.  Depicting the move from the wood and fabric biplanes to the all metal monoplanes.  This is a wide open category of aircraft!

Looks to me like the Golden Age is the winner here so far.

Who says you only have to build one? If you toss all the names in a hat and then draw one at random, if you are not pleased with the result, then put it aside and draw another. If while drawing a name, you suddenly hope that it is a certain plan, then that is the one.

Nice to hear. I am considering his AirTruk plan, in a slightly reduced size.

He was flying and smiling the last time I saw him at Geneseo in summer 2019.
