I was always upset when the tips and rudder lamination time came....boiling the sticks, heating sticks etc. I had breakage, and sometimes total failure....start all over again!
So, I a moment of sanity, this way came to light!
Choose your thickness by just getting a sheet of balsa the width you desire, stand on edge, set your razor plane to a nice thin setting, and slowly plane the edge of your sheet. Wallah! Here's your curl!
You can do any wood, balsa, bamboo, spruce, anything that has grain works well.
