Found this in the summer 1979 issue of Air Trails. Thought I would post it for the fun of it. Other than standing out at the field, I don't know if there is much more of an advantage over, some rubber attached to the end of a dowel. Maybe if the crossbow had some real power to it, as you rocket the fuselage into the air, and the wings flutter to the ground.
