Been working on it, the glass house cockpit has been given me trouble....I think I may have it whipped...I made about 10 bad ones Tongue....I need to make them in 2 halves, then join them.
This will be removable to get to the battery.

Great story of a fantastic flight.  I'm sure we all have those memories of our hobby through the years.  Thanks for sharing it with us!  Lucky Hung (the Free Flight god of thermals) didn't take her OOS!

NoCal ok, but I think us "Ole Timers" would call it "Profile" Roll Eyes Grin Wink

Yep.....I built one as ff 40yr ago...longest ff ever I had....~one evening, had my mom with me, we filled the 020 tank up, started it, and she was doing that 'bumble bee pulling a bale of hay' sound....and I launched her.....she climbed in a perfect big circle....and mustof gone 500ft up....the motor cut, and a slow glide began....away from us!
We watched get smaller in the distance(mind you, I was flying out of the front yard on the farm....trees and hills had claimed 2 of my planes already) but as we talked and watched....the 'dot' slowly got bigger....and bigger....and she glides back to us only 50ft from where we stood! Shocked we still laugh about that flight!!!!
I never flew her again...time went by, and Johnathan ended up with her....he flew her for years....
So....now with a cox 020 going for crazy money....and Johnathan goes to "Smalls" every year....I thought I would do a retro....
Smiley
Painting today maybe.....

Guess this 'quick build'.....it's years back, supposed to be 020 cox powered pusher...there was a real plane built, WWII, and it's very ugly....I'm converting this for 2ch RC because johnathan likes RC planes better than ff ones...and Cox 02's are getting pricey...to pricey to loose to a tree!
So...is this a 'no cal RC?'... Grin
