As the site's name says, we are primarily a site for stick and tissue modeling.  We do have categories for rc, electric, display etc.  We encourage flying our stick and tissue creations by rubber power primarily.

If you decide to participate in FAC (Flying Aces Club) events you need to meet their rules requirements and we try to advise in line with these rules.  We don't want to advise someone with something that is not accepted by the FAC rules.

We do want to encourage the this hobby and it's related modeling genre's.

Get familiar with the site and you'll see the various divisions!

I was wondering, what is ok to ok to post as a S&T build blog? I posted pics of 3 models above, but only 1 is technically S&T. The other two also have some bamboo or carbon used also. Is that a big no-no on here? or everything goes?

Jon,
Welcome to S&T enjoyed seeing your models.  Look forward to following a new build project in the Current Builds section.  As you've seen we have a great bunch of modelers who will be eager to share with you their ideas and skills to assist you in any challenges you might encounter.  Once again welcome to S&T.

The peanuts were built for nostalgic display, so never took flight. I have considered building one for myself, though.

Yeah the rainbow was really fun to build. Fitting that plastic to the cockpit just did not want to fit though. Creative solution required there.

Thanks much!
wow, it must be tricky working at peanut scale on the rainbow! it's a pretty looking plane.
I still need to balance the prop and take my rainbow out for a flight Smiley.  My v-tail might be slightly too small... hopefully it will fly ok.
how did the peanut version fly?

Welcome Jon. I see that you gave the Rainbow a Vee-tail. Looks nice. I built two peanut sized versions of that one a few years ago. I still haven't built the full size one. [ https://www.stickandtissue.com/forum/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1421284167 ]

Big hello to everyone on here.
I'm just getting back into building planes after a 35 year hiatus...  I built a few S&T hand launch gliders when I was a teen.
Started building again a few months ago...Forgot how much fun it is.
I'm from UK, but living in LA

Immediate goals... improve build skills and knowledge, build a park-flyer glider, and a light slope glider. (see below)
find places in or around LA to try some micro sloping.. Smiley
meet some like-minded people Smiley

here are some of my first attempts... EasyBuilt Rainbow, rubber powered..

From scratch Talula (90cm, 245g inspired by the Alula ),

From scratch, work in progress, wingeron... "Floppy bird" (90cm  roughly 115 - 130g inspired by pug twisty)
