	Had lost my building mojo for awhile. Ready to continue with this one. I installed the interplane struts and made wheels. The axle is light music wire epoxied at the center to the bamboo landing gear struts. ian

	I am not as fast as certain other builders. I spent almost a week trying to get the cabane struts right. Landing gear and cabane struts made from bamboo. Lots more to do yet. ian

	Finished putting stringers on the Fuselage. I covered the flying surfaces. I decided to go with a fantasy scheme as a DH-5 captured by the Germans and flight tested by von Richthofen and painted specially for him. ian

	Finishing up the stringers on the fuselage. But in the meanwhile, I stained the wings and stab with a red sharpie and put gussets in for the dihedral breaks. The rudder is painted with white watercolour paint. The tissue is applied to one side of the rudder. The paint and staining added only a negligible amount of weight, about 0.03g overall. ian

	oh dear! it is close to impossible to explain what you have and are doing without both text and pictures. I did mean VERY clear for me to follow. your more recent photos look even better. without the prior set I would never have known how you split out the noseblock. you are doing waaaaay better than any of my efforts. looks sharp! victor

	Sorry if it was as clear as mud. Here is the finished noseblock installed in the fuselage, Upper and Bottom views. Weighs in at 1.56 grams, but it doesn't have the aluminum prop bearing in place yet, or the prop assembly. ian

	Working on the noseblock. Pics are front and back. Engine will only be a picture. The back of the noseblock is a piece of 1/8 for the key, a piece of 1/16" for the backing plate and a piece of 1/4" cut out for the back part of the frame. The front part of the noseblock is a piece of 1/8" glued to a piece of 1/32 hard balsa for the front ring. The engine will be glued in place, then the 2 pieces mated and formed. ian

	For notching, i took a piece of 1/32 hard balsa and glued a piece of 300 grit wet/dry sandpaper to the edge (about 3"), then sliced off the extra with a craft razor blade. The wet/dry sandpaper lasts far longer than the granite grit stuff. I have used this one for years now. The same technique works for larger notches. the picky part is getting the notches in exactly the right place. I like notching the ribs into the TE, but the LE is usually too thin for it. I am still working (contemplating) on the nose block before I put on the stringers. If I do it afterwards, I'll break too many of them. ian

	Boy, you can build good...I would like to be able to notch like you do! Did you make a tool for that? Or, how? That tiny fuse it great!....I started building when I was 8yr old....trouble is, my teeny tiny planes STILL look like a 8yr old built them! Marc

	The easiest way to remove weight is to not add it in the first place. Building with Helium really helps. ian
