More progress.  Fuselage and noseblock are just about ready to cover.  Flying surfaces are all assembled, still need to be sanded.  Just under 9 grams as pictured.

Made good progress today - wing is fully framed up and the fuselage box is ready for detail work.  The wing was interesting, with sliced rib tips and a bit of finagling to prep the cutout where the canopy will go.

Super Fike for Embryo

Decided to take a quick break from my P-47 build and cobble together an Embryo for this weekend's meet in Hamilton TX.  I love Jim Longstreth's designs and have long wanted to build the Super Fike (published in the December 1995 Flying Models magazine), so that's the one.  Printed up the plans and ran the numbers on the model Sunday, then started with the fuselage frames.  I moved the peg forward one bay, otherwise it's per the plan.

The fuselage box is together on the board, so this afternoon will be dedicated to the flying surfaces and maybe cutting a blank for the prop.
