Welcome slowhand...look forward to seeing your projects.  Feel free to make yourself right at home and ask questions, search the site for ideas and tips and tricks and add any special techniques you've developed.  Once again Welcome!

Thanks Ian,
Both actually, quite slow and also like Eric. From The UK. Yes I’ll do a build log, expect the fun will start with the covering. Just intend to do static models as wouldn’t want to break my master piece.  Smiley

Welcome Slowhand. Perhaps you are an Eric Clapton fan? Or it takes you a while to build something? I assume that your are from London Ontario, rather than London England. I believe that the forum is hosted from Alberta. Hope to see some pics of your build. And yes, there are ways of reducing the weight of the Guillows models, although some build and fly them successfully from the kit wood.

Hi delighted to join the forum. Just got a Dumas Tiger Moth (Walnut). Built a Guillows Hurricane but infilled it and used plywood for the wings and result was okayish. Looking forward to using a tissue and dope covering.

Looking at your time I guess forum is hosted in the west.
