She has flown. On the maiden flight, it climbed high (right circles) and glided down beautifully. Then, something happened when I went and got my camera. (which I had somehow left at home) The plane did a climb and stall to the right. The wing has too much wash-out in the right wing. I steamed the wing and pinned it overnight on a flat surface, but by the time I got to the flying field, it had reverted and I got the same results. With a launch with an initial left turn, I got some circles to the right, but it didn't climb. It might not have had enough power in the capacitor. Without an assistant, I don't have time to launch and get the camera out and start the vid.

That's some wild colors Ian. My daughter would have loved that in her younger years (she had me paint a half-size foam Sparky pink and silver when she was about 6).

Thanks Mike. I ran into a problem with painting the tissue. The black spots on the tissue are solvent soluble. I couldn't use dope, so I went back to an acrylic finish using floor polish. The stab twisted  with the extra shrinkage, so I threw it out and used a piece of 1/16 " balsa to replace it. The plane is nose heavy, and I had to add extra weight to the tail anyways. Final all-up weight is 16.9 grams after adding 1.4 grams of weight to the tail.

Yes, your frames do look great! I think it's interesting how you did your wing. A built-up c-channel with half ribs and sticks trailing off. Probably much more warp resistant then the original.

Thanks, Tom. The torque that the motor put out was unbelievable to me for such a small unit. This is a bones shot. Covering to follow.
