Glad you were able to get out and fly...as for as the job goes, you gotta do what ya gotta do.  I know it will be great for your family and seeing that granddaughter!  Those grand babies no matter their age are so special!  I'm with you brother!!!  Smiley

Was blessed with perfect weather. Almost dead still air. Hope to get it again tomorrow.
Added an adjustable nose block. I think I put too much down thrust, not sure. The nasson clutch I made did not release, I still need to work on that whole thing. Not as smooth as I want.
First real throw was 250 winds and all went well, except the clutch thing.  Next try was 450 or so and it sunk like a rock. I included a hand turned test flight in the vid just to compare.  It seems like more power, less altitude.
My tail started to come loose so I packed it up and went home.

Here's some news, I know Tom will think I've lost my mind, I quit my job.  As I predicted, the bottom fell out of what I was doing. Rates are horrible and there's no way they are coming back until after we are shed of Biden and his satanic ilk.  I knew the gravy train would run out of steam.
It has reached a point where I can make almost as much locally and not leave my home for weeks at a time. I am tired of not being home anyway. It's  time to come home, like normal people do. LOL. Nights and weekends at home for awhile.
I have to make 1 more loop to give my boss time to get a replacement, then I find something local. I leave this week.
At some point I will post pics of sparkies nose and clutch on the sparky thread.
The Joker plane had a wing warp but I got it fixed, I think. Hope to test it soon.

Alright Thymekiller... looks to be a normal stall and then she falls off on a wing and then recovers. If she doesn't stall at all in your glide test, down thrust might be the answer.  If she stalls in your glide tests add a bit of weight to the nose. Great to see her in the air!!!  Your wife did a great job with the camera!  Great Team effort!

Finally got some flight time. I think it needs more power to climb.
The wind did not cause the weird climb and stall stuff, it just does it by it self, for no apparent reason. The wind was very light if any at all and steady in one direction. I launched with the wind, or it stalls and falls.
  I have 4 loops of 3/16.
1.25 times fuse length and braided to a proper length.

No vid of the jokers f190. I need to un warp the main wing, it turns too hard to the left, glide or under power.

I know. I might try that later. What amazes me is the altitude he gets.  He says he winds everything to max turns.

I enjoy his videos too.  You know he uses rc rudder on his rubber powered models, right? That's how he keeps them inbetween the buildings and on the field.

This is NOT me flying. This guy is kind of a hero to me and I really enjoy his vids. Very informative and really great flights. I just wanted to share his stuff with everybody. Feel free to browse his playlists, it's great. This IS NOT MY STUFF, these are NOT my planes. I hope to equal this someday.

I did get a chance to test glide a couple of mine and it was horrible, lol. MY monocoupe has a warp in the main wing that I did not think would matter, but boy howdy it sure did. Spiraled in hard 3 times. Will probly recover the top of the main wing and try to work it out.
The FW 190 needed  some thrust angle adjustment but I forgot the glue so by the time I got back to the field the wind had picked up and it's been raining pretty much ever since. Will be better next time.
