Does not matter how long it takes to build it. It matters whether or not you enjoyed you time in your build area. Looks Great!!

The camera thing works the same for 99% of the planes you see. Its normal. Your own eye is much more critical than ours and you wont see those flaws when she's WAY up there, far over there...

Looks great, Glad you shared it. Good luck on your next one.

Mark,

If you build the Arbalete as a jetcat, leave the wing flat.  The cambered and reflexed wing on mine leads to some kinda bizzare behavior during launch and transition.

I've watched Mike's Arbalete video a few weeks ago. Very very cool! I may need to build a Cat Jet this summer!  Wink

Thanks fellas! Once again, my horrible and grainy digital photography makes this one look a bit more spiffy than it actually is. Wink

I had an opportunity to maiden her at a local park this evening. It was one of those magical evenings. What seems like a months worth of work, slow going and trying to think things through - paid in spades. I was amazed. There were a couple of instances where the breeze had momentarily  her hanging on the prop but she corrected herself wonderfully and straightened out to continue a lazy cork screw climb. In one instance, after the motor was spent - and in Hanger of Doom fashion - she straightened out and started heading for the tree line, landing just a few feet away. (I need a larger park!)

Anyway, I digress. This pastime of ours is becoming highly addicting - I know you understand Wink

Thank you!

Very spiffy indeed!!!   Yes I'd say it's a sport model rather than an Old Timer or a Scale model.  Great job!! Smiley

Nicely done! Documentation not needed and as for classification, let's put it in the "Spiffy" category!! Congrats on a nifty build!

So I didn't really document this build here so it may not belong here but fresh off the board, a Peck Polymers "One Nite 16". I have to chuckle a bit because of the name that Bob Peck (RIP) gave this model. It took me more than One Nite to build - more like a month of One Nites...

A tip of the hat and thanks to Tom for his input on my questions about the stab mounting - long story but I worked out. Wink

There were a couple of "firsts" along the way which included my first "box style" fuse build, mixing my first batch of Duco/Acetone glue - which worked great and working with print wood as opposed to crunched-dye parts.

Anyway, all up weight is approximately 11 grams, tissue is domestic, pre-shrunk and lightly misted with Krylon clear and initial motor is 12" of 1/8th FIA tan sport. No maiden yet but glide tests indicate that it might actually fly. Wink

So, for the sake of classification, would this be considered a Sport model?
