She's a beauty!  I made a flight box out of an old fishing tackle box and put in all that stuff needed for trimming.  That made it easier to just grab that box  when going out to fly.  Just a suggestion.  Of course you've got to remember to restock it from time to time.  Which I've had to remind myself after getting to the field and seeing I'd forgotten to restock!!! Seems there's always something!
Keep her flying!

Went out early in the morning. I am using 196 inches of 1/8th inch sport tan. I forgot to bring my container of shim stock and balance clay. I hate when I do that. Angry The model flew out pretty straight with a fair amount of climb. I think a touch of right hand turn with just a tiny amount of weight in the tail would help. That card stock balsa spinner does not allow the prop to freewheel. But, overall it does seem to fly well. The .047 music wire with a little JB weld work ok too. Grin

That's just one of the challenges of this hobby.  I'd be careful of heavier wire.  There's also the option of flying her without landing gear.

Have you checked out the various articles on trimming for flight?  There are some good videos as well.

Best of luck with your repairs and further test flights!

Well to get things started I made up a loop of 3/16th gray rubber that came with one of the kits. I doubled it up to make 4 strands. The motor turned out too short for this model, but it's ok for a few hand wound turns. The model seemed to glide ok, so I did about 60-70 hand wound turns. As you can see the first thing it did on landing was rip the gear right out. So, I am going to do a redo with some .047 wire I have form a 400 series Guillows kit. Probably add some extra bracing too. It's all just part of the flying experience.  Grin
