Thanks for the pointer Sky9Pilot! Found some online at an art store near by, after a call they said they had plenty so I'm going to check it out on Saturday - I'm very anxious to give it a try  Cheesy

At 10 grams per square metre it's about a third of the Guillows weight. Now I can't remember the weight before and after covering but I'm guessing 0.2-0.5 grams saving.

Edit: after some reverse engineering I found that the airframe weighs 8,05 grams. I always heard that peanuts should weigh 6 grams without rubber, prop and ballast. is this a correct assumption?

Thank you Ian, it is still two grams heavier than I targeted for... The current R/C and control rods are about 6,5-7 grams, so I hoped for 6 grams or so airframe weight.. If it was two grams lighter I would not have needed a 0,5 gram heavier motor Smiley

I partly blame the very heavy Guillows stock kit tissue. Any recommendations that would affect the weight, and if so, how much less could the net savings be on peanut?

Thank you,

It was quite a built but I am ready for more, always loved building with balsa - it's how my modelling career started Smiley

Just uploaded a video on my channel here of last March.https://youtu.be/bv6tSpql4_E

Hi Guys,

This is a project I started in 2012 and flew first the previous indoor season. Flies quite good, however it's a bit underpowered. For that reason I'll be installing a larger 6mm motor than the 6x10 I have installed now.

The plane uses Mini Vapor equipment otherwise, except for the MicroInvent MCF5030 carbon fibre prop.
