Here's the plan if anyone wants to build her.

40 or 50 seconds ain't bad at all for a peanut, especially with a steep glide.  Congrats on a very neat build.

Hello Everyone,

Mike, that is the plan that I had used, as far as flying, yes I packed a lot of rubber in this one and boy does she fly, climbs out very fast in a left hand circle and gains some serious altitude, the glide on the other hand needs some work, a very steep almost diving glide with a close to spiral in death pattern, I think I can fix this, this quick glide in limits my flights to around 40 to 50 sec's but boy I have a blast watching this one fly.  Cheesy

Cheers, Ray K.

I saw a picture of the Gulfstream American Hustler 500 and drew my own plan.  I didn't know there was a plan out there.  I like the 27" span models.  Must goes back to the ole rc days..."bigger flies better" saying.

The drawing has the dorsal intake that the prototype doesn't have.  My plan has the dorsal intake.
Here's a link to my plan: Click Here

Very nice Ray!  This brought back some memories - I got a copy of the plan in the early -80s and started building it, never got much past the tailfeathers and a few carved parts like the wingtips and tail bullet.  Yesterday I went looking and found the plan in my plans book and believe it or not some of the parts in a box in the garage.  In between holiday activities I looked through my old model magazines but didn't find an issue with this plan.  I don't recall what magazine I got it from (probably copied it from a magazine at the library or from a friend's father).  Date and initials on the plan are JRW, 9-28-79.  Style looks like most of the inked plans from the model mags of the time - the plan is listed in the AMA plans service so it could have been from Model Aviation.  I looked in some online lists of Model Builder peanuts and didn't find it there.

You could put a lot of rubber into this model - I'd be very interested in your flight report Ray.

Cheers,

Mike

Outstanding Ray, what's the source of your plan?  Yours or someone elses! Four bladed prop also?  Very nice how about some details?

Hello All,

I needed a new peanut to fly so here she is, I built this on a whim and finished it in 2 days, I cheated on the glass work and used all tissue to speed up the build.
