I have a pile of started and half finished airplanes that have been looking at me for some time now. I pull the R5 from the pile and played with it for a little bit:

I covered the wing, took off the black domestic tissue that was on the fuselage and attached pieces of 1/16 to the stab area.

Tom, I took the black domestic tissue off last night and will attach the two stringers that I forgot for the stab then apply some black Esaki which goes on easier and will look much better.

Can you use some delicate scalpel work to free up the area without damaging the tissue too much?  I know you'll find a workable solution!

Tom, it is the nose block. But I may need to take the tissue off to finish the area for the stab (I forgot to attach the top pieces for the stab)

Looking good Bob...fuselage is awesome job of tissue application.  Is that a keyed nose block on the previous post?

Gunny, I had planned on just leaving them open their 1/8" depth and just putting some black tissue in place. I will give some thought to your idea.
