Amazing how the markings and fiddly bits make a model come alive.  She looks great! Smiley

Very nice Neal - the paint and markings really make it look great.  Looks like it could be a fun flyer.

Looks fantastic !!
Your tissue work is top shelf.

I remember wing windows and floor vents. I also remember that vent in front of the windshield. I helped a friend get an old truck running one time and we went for a drive. I asked, "Does this work?" as I opened the cowl vent lever and immediately got blasted in the face with bark and mouse nest and dust.
Yep, it worked.

Watching this build with interest. I like parasol aircraft. I like the upper colour and its application here.

It is a good thing that they made the sides out of metal, or they would have kicked a lot of holes in the side of the fuselage with those heavy boots! I know about the agility thing after climbing into a J-3 cub at my age. (Youth is wasted on the young)

Speaking of Edwards...that vicinity...long about 1971 a buddy of mine came through Albuquerque from Carswell on his way to California...in a dunebuggy (no roof).  He was on his way to his brother's high school graduation...says "Why don't you come along?"  So off we go...little adventure, so to speak.  Everything was pleasant (lots of wind and sun) until we got to Baker, Ca...118F!  That's when we started tearing towels into strips to fashion turbans!  Tinfoil wrapping from chewing gum over the nose...held in place by sunglasses afforded great protection for "that quarter." Yeh...natural AC...you provide the sweat, forward motion provides the evaporative cooling...unless even that is well over 100F!  Beware running out of sweat. Shocked

Seems that mounting-up on an Hs126 did require some agility....

Wife says "That's a pretty airplane.  What its name?"  I responded, "Her name is Henschel...she's German."  Wink

Wing windows and floor vents were a great thing!  I drove a '68 Nova with no air conditioning all over the southwest and was comfortable as long as temps were under 100 deg.

However, driving home from work at Edwards AFB in the summer when it was 112F was like sticking my head in an oven...

The Henschel is looking great Neal!
